I teach statistics, data science, and programming at The Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). In 2026, I was awarded the status of Excellent Teaching Practioner (merittert underviser).

Currently teaching

Current SKL402 — Introduction to R

A flexible digital seminar giving students a solid foundation in the R programming language. Given every semester at NHH.

Current BEA529 — Probability and Statistical Inference

PhD level course on the theoretical foundations of probability and statistical inference.

Previously taught

2017–2024 MET4 — Empiriske Metoder (Empirical Methods)

A course in applied statistics in NHH’s Norwegian language Bachelor’s program.

2020–2024 BAN400 — R Programming for Data Science

A master course in the use of R as a tool for practical data science, with particular focus on the tidyverse ecosystem of packages.

2018–2022 BAN420 — Introduction to R

A week-long intesive introduction to the R programming language in the Master’s program at NHH.

Supervision

I am generally open to supervise master theses at NHH, and I encourage students who are interested in doing statistical modeling and/or empirical in their thesis work to contact potential supervisors as early in the process as possible. Prospective PhD students should consult web page of the Department of Business and Management Science for details on the program and application process. I currently do not have external funding to hire PhD students directly.
